Transport booking is more than a customer name
A transport operator needs more than a public booking form. The important work happens after the enquiry comes in: confirming pickup time, pickup point, destination, driver, vehicle, customer remark, payment status and job status.
If these details are spread across WhatsApp, Excel and driver chats, the boss has to keep asking who is handling which trip.
Core fields for the first version
A practical transport system should track customer name, phone, service date, pickup location, dropoff location, assigned driver, job status, payment status, internal remarks and follow-up date. The owner view should show today jobs, unassigned jobs, unpaid jobs and completed jobs.
Internal system, not a taxi booking website
For many small operators, the first system should be internal. Customers can still message through WhatsApp. The system helps the team control the operation after the booking is received.
